I love art. I’m into all things pretty. Some of my fave artists are Jean-Michel Basquiat, Warhol, Kara Walker, Kehinde Wiley and my absolute favorite Francesco Clemente. While spending way too much time on Raya and Insta, I discovered Blair Breitenstein, a fashion illustrator that I just adore. Her sketches are amazing. So fashion and the glitterati are taking notice. Her clients include everyone, like Gucci, Chanel, Prada and L’Oreal Paris, just to name a few.
Closing out my 2017 strong with this gorgeous editorial from Grazia Bulgaria, starring #beautiful Anisa from Ford! Bartlomiej Kurela photographed this gorgeousness, and my girl Chrisondra Boyd slayed hair and makeup! I styled and art directed the shoot, while Chrisondra did double duty as location scout. Fashion ain’t easy, but the results of hard work can be gorgeous!
As everyone knows I shop a lot. I’m that person, that at any given time has things hanging in their closet unworn, with the tags still on. Yep, that’s me, the ultimate consumer. So I’ve decided to put some fabulousness on eBay! I’m just dipping a perfectly pedicured toe into it’s murky waters to check it out. And make some much needed space for new things!
I had the honor of previewing the new ERDEM X H&M collaboration before it launched in store and on-line, on my fave, Good Day L.A.! I had such a blast with my pal (and co-hort in Award Season crime), the hysterical Kathryn Heisman. Kathryn is a such a doll, and we get so excited talking fashion!
Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate beauty. And talent. So without further ado here is GIRLS I LIKE! The legends edition.
I knew I wanted to be in fashion the first time I saw Linda Evangelista. I guess I wanted to be a model because of her. Or a fashion stylist. Honestly, I just wanted to be her! She was sooooo beautiful and chic! It was an ad for Barneys, shot by Steven Miesel. Linda had a shoe perched atop her head kissing a chimp. It was brilliant!
Christy Turlington was originally booked for that Barney’s campaign but she got sick and the rest is history.
