My 1st Byline For #TheGlowUP At theroot.com: A Conversation With Daphne Maxwell-Reid

Glamour magazine, 1969 (Conde Nast)

I’m really thrilled with this! In honor of Black History Month here is my 1st byline for The The Glow Up at The Root! It’s an interview with the divine Daphne Maxwell-Reid. Click here to read the interview!

Many of you know actress Daphne Maxwell-Reid best for being the second Aunt Viv on the hit TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but she’s so much more than that. Daphne, a former Ford model, actress, wife, mother and now my friend, has had groundbreaking firsts. She was the 1st Black woman on the cover of Glamour magazine and was the first Black Homecoming Queen at prestigious Northwestern University in Chicago. Please read my interview, and leave comments at The Glow Up!
